3th April this year United Technologies and Raytheon have merged into a new entity called Raytheon Technologies Corporation.
Pratt & Whitney is one of four businesses that form Raytheon Technologies Corporation. The merger did not include the Otis and Carrier businesses that were spin off from United Technologies.
By combining two leading companies - a leader in the aerospace industry - we set a new industry standard by combining advanced technology platforms, research and development capabilities, complementary product portfolios and highly qualified staff.
At the merger day, RTX employs 195,000 employees worldwide, of which 43,000 are employees of Pratt & Whitney. We will use common traditions of innovation, integrity and excellence over the past 190 years to deliver technologies that will set new standards and the future of the aerospace and defense industries.
This is a great opportunity! Our journey together begins now.
